Family Workshop: August 22nd, First Methodist Church, Albany
The BAHVN will be holding a low-cost, accessible family training in Albany on August 22nd from 10-5pm at the First Methodist Church in Albany (East Bay).
The workshop will include presentations, discussion and hands-on exercises, including insights derived from personal experience of psychosis and/or caregiving, information on research that challenges mainstream "myths" about voices and treatment, and strategies for working with loved ones in a supportive way.
Members of the BAHVN's internal leadership will be facilitating the training: Ed Herzog (family member and family group facilitator); Nev Jones PhD (research psychologist, facilitator & trainer, family member); Manton Hurd RN (nurse and facilitator), Dina Tyler (peer specialist and facilitator) and Heath Hodge (peer specialist and facilitator).
